Venus is high in the morning sky, shining brightly as Morning Star. She meets with the moon at the Throat Chakra gate.
The Gatekeeper Speaks
Sacred Warrioress, how do you justify what you do? How do you try to manipulate and control what is seen, what is done, what you feel, what you say? How do you refuse to accept what is real? You are a champion, a trail blazer, willing to do and try and experience. But are you willing to accept what is real? Are you willing to accept what you do not like? Rather than running away, explaining away, manipulating away, will you stay?
At my gate, will you lay aside your impulse to turn away from what is real? Are you willing to be bold enough to see what is? Accepting reality leads to the capacity to choose with intention. To own your choices, with clarity and competence.
Sacred Warrioress, will you choose to stand in the purity of being, allowing all of reality to be exactly as it is? I see you struggle with wanting to change, that passionate purpose burns in your veins. Yes, yes, action is needed. Your power and vitality and courage are needed. There is pain and injustice and need for change in this world. And, to pass my gate, you must release your need to force reality to be your way. Are you willing, Sacred Warrioress?
White Essence is what gives you the steadiness and the staying power needed to stay focused and open as you traverse the long distances in plumbing the depths of your experience. It provides you with maturity and a sense of responsibility that supports you in pursuing an issue fully instead of jumping from one thing to another.

The Quality of Will
True will displays an intelligent responsiveness to the truth of our situation, including our limitations in dealing with what arises in our experience. Because human beings have inherent limitations, the revelation of human potential is an ongoing process. And as such, it requires patience and steadfastness. This steadfastness, however, is an intelligent expression of the White Essence. How solid, how soft, how hard, or how flexible this expression is depends on the particular situation. Sometimes you may need to pay intense attention for many hours in order to explore your experience. The process may require that you relax and let your mind settle. This doesn’t necessarily mean disengaging the inquiry; resting or taking a break for a while is just another part of the process. You have been committed to finding out whatever you can, and for the moment, you know all that you can know. Now it’s time to be quiet, to watch and see what arises in your experience.

Inquiry Questions
Take some time to drop in, deepen into the quiet of your unfolding soul, and explore what is here now in your awareness, as you embody Venus as Morning Star.
How do you try to be yourself? What’s right about efforting? How do you experience the effortlessness of being?
How do you embellish what is? How do you experience the purity of being?
How do you experience your personal will? What is your experience when you feel your personal will is thwarted or blocked in some way?
What is your own unique lens through which to explore this Essence of White, the quality of will, of Venus in Aries? With whom do you journey this cycle?
Ritual Space
Take some time to drop into ritual space as you receive the initiation of this gate. We step into liminal space, time out of time, in ritual space. We connect with the lineage of those who have watched the stars for millennia, receiving the gift of Venus's journey, aligning ourselves with the cycles that are already unfolding. We remember our nature as beings who cycle, change, transform. We remember how to receive knowing directly, rather than needing others to tell us what is so.
You may wish to create an altar, light a candle, and anoint yourself with oils. Sit with this gate, the quality of Essence that is being called forward. As you deepen in surrendering to receiving initiation, ask who would come to guide you in your journey with this quality of Essence? What of yourself do you offer in return? What is calling to be set down at this gate? What pattern, belief, way of being in this world, is challenged by this quality of Essence? What are you ready to release in order to deepen more fully in this journey?
What gift is revealed in the releasing of this pattern, belief, or way of being? What has more freedom to be itself in this release? You may see this directly, or may need to live with this initiation throughout the whole cycle and come back and answer this question before entering into the next gate. You may wish to draw cards to receive guidance in this way.
As you complete your experience in ritual space, take time to offer thanks and adoration to the archetype, to Venus, to your personal guide that arose for this journey, to your ancestors and lineage. Offer thanks to the land that holds and nourishes and grounds you. In the giving and receiving we remember our deep connectedness to all beings everywhere, throughout time and space.
Remember and Record
This cycle we are exploring the quality of White Essence, the purity of Being, the steadfastness that holds and supports without efforting. Play with the interplay of what's right about efforting, and experiencing the effortlessness of Being. Relaxing back into the knowing that all of it is necessary and right and good.
Play with the quality of Earth, as experienced through the senses. The senses are our interface between our internal experience and the external world. As we explore the 5th chakra, take time to play with those primordial senses of tastes, scent, and touch with the mouth. Notice the connections between all of the opening and closing portals of the body - the throat, yoni, palms of the hands, and bottoms of the feet.
Return to the gatekeepers as often as you wish over this next cycle, standing before She who holds what was, She who holds what is, and She who hold what will be. Spend as much time as is needed until their gifts are fully embodied.
Please write out what you shared about working with fire this past cycle so that I can post it on your page. The writing, remembering, and reviewing is also a quality of Earth, of bringing the formless into the formed. Writing it down, naming it, sharing it, and having a record of it is an art of crafting, manifesting, building into being.
