Quarter Moon Waxing: Albedo

As we enter into the first quarter waxing moon, we enter into the next phase of the alchemical process, that of albedo, or the whitening. This is a period purification, differentiation, clarification. Many paths or possibilities may begin to open.

It is not the time for taking action or picking a path, but rather a time seeing the shadow begin to reveal its fullness. The undifferentiated shadow of nigredo begins to separate sufficiently to be seen and known.

We begin to perceive what is real.

As you work with dissonance, what do you begin to know about yourself, your history, your patterns? What do you begin to know about your hidden fears and desires? What have you been unwilling to admit about yourself to yourself?

What is arising in your dreams in this period?

As you continue to work with the shadow quality that you identified in the nigredo period, what arises in your felt sense? How have you been embodying this shadow, even unknowingly? What are your visceral clues?
